Benefits of Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil softgels (capsules)

Here are a handful of reasons why many prefer our cod liver oil capsules:

  • No refrigeration.
  • No fresh fish taste.
  • Fantastic for travel.
  • Fish collagen softgel casing is easily absorbed and supports skin, hair, nail and joint health.*
  • Can ship safely to you in all temperatures, without cold packs (oil is protected from oxygen by its softgel casing and tight bottle seal).
  • What’s inside your natural cod liver oil softgels (capsules)

These little capsules contain the only fresh, wild-caught and raw cod liver oil in the entire world.

Straight from the clean Norwegian seas, the oil has 100% naturally occurring nutrients, like vitamins A and D, and a full spectrum of omega fatty acids, including Omega 3 EPA and DHA.

A serving size of 3 Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil softgels has:

  • 120 IU Vitamin D per serving (3 softgels),
  • 1215 IU Vitamin A per serving (3 softgels).
  • Here are more special features that set Rosita cod liver oil softgels apart:

  • Sustainable: Authentic cod (Gadus morhua) are sustainably caught, hook and line on Rosita’s fishing boats off the coast of northern Norway.
  • Unprocessed: Cod liver oil is quickly and naturally released using a rare, generations-old technique (that involves a gentle temperature shift) ensuring the utmost freshness; no heat, chemicals, or mechanics are ever used.
  • Safe: Each batch is 3rd-party tested in a microbiological laboratory and certified to meet strict European regulations for potency and purity. You can read the results here.

    Ingredients

Wild-caught cod liver oil, rosemary, organic vitamin E, fish collagen softgels.

    Allergens: Fish

Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil softgels have a naturally rich and rare nutrient profile that lends itself to myriad health benefits:

  • Vitamin A:It has true vitamin A in retinol form, which means the body can easily absorb and use it (unlike the vitamin A found in plants as beta-carotene). Vitamin A is involved in immune function, vision, reproduction and cellular communication.*
  • Vitamin D:Rosita’s vitamin A also works hand-in-hand with its vitamin D, which helps the body absorb calcium to support bone health.*
  • Omega fatty acids:Rosita’s full spectrum of fatty acids (including omega-3 EPA and DHA) are known for reducing inflammation and preserving brain health.*

Best taken with food, as needed.

  • Adults: 3 softgels daily. (90 capsule bottle will last 30 days)
  • Children and sensitive individuals: Begin by taking 1 softgel daily. We would advise puncturing the softgels with a pin and expressing the oil into the mouths of young children
  • Infants (as approved by doctor): Consult your healthcare practitioner for advice on the appropriate dosage. We would advise puncturing the softgels with a pin and expressing the oil into the mouths of infants.
  • Pregnant and nursing mothers: Do not exceed more than 3 softgels daily. Consult with a physician before taking this supplement.
  • Low and slow: Rosita is premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a low dosage. For example, 1 softgel (or less) every other day, until you can determine how the oil affects your body and what dosage feels right for you.
  • To maintain the Rosita softgels in the best possible state for the longest time, keep them in dark storage at room temperature, ideally ranging from 58°F to 78°F (15°C to 25°C).

Short temperature exposure either way has little-to-no impact on the oil. Cold temperatures over prolonged periods can increase the permeability of the gel and so they should not be refrigerated or frozen.

The shelf life of Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil softgels is three years from the production date.

The concentration of fat-soluble nutrients depends on several biological factors, including the size of the fish and the amount of oil contained in the liver. There are also seasonal variations related to the spawning cycle of the fish, climatic conditions, plankton, and other conditions affecting the codfish. Because Rosita EVCLO is a completely unrefined & unprocessed wholefood, the concentration of nutrients will ALWAYS vary from batch to batch.

The Nutrient Results (fat-soluble vitamins, sterols & fatty acids) shown below represent typical values and ranges which have been obtained from analytical testing at the following institutes:

    • NIFES (National Institute of Nutrition and Seafood Research )[20/12/2010]
    • ALS Food & Pharmaceutical (United Kingdom) [10/10/2012]
    • Eurofins Food Testing [19/02/2013]
    • Nutrition Analytical Service (NAS), Institute of Aquaculture, University of Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom [15/11/2013]. The head of NAS, Professor Gordon Bell, has over 30 years of experience in fish nutrition and lipid and nutrition related analysis and has published more than 184 peer-reviewed papers on fish nutrition, fatty acids, lipid soluble nutrients and antioxidants. The Chief Analyst, James Dick, provides over 25 years of experience in lipid methodology and is responsible for Quality Control within the Nutrition Group, the development of chromatographic techniques and is trained in all aspects of complex lipid analysis including HPLC, GC, GC/MS and GC/MS/MS.
    • Extra virgin oil was also tested [as far back as: 15.07.2011] by the producer at ECO-Marine using a Norwegian Aquaculture Research Institute which specialises in marine raw materials and products.

*Gadoleic acid [which was first noted in cod liver oil] and Cetoleic acid are present in higher amounts in codfish from Northern hemisphere and high latitude waters. These fatty acids are therefore found in higher quantities in genuine cod liver oil originating from the Northern hemisphere.

*Cetoleic acid is also usually present in lower proportions than Gadoleic acid.

This ratio is a good indicator of genuine Northern hemisphere cod liver oil.

Cod Liver Oil has been tested for purity by leading European institutes and meets all the stringent European requirements.

    Convenient and pleasant tasting!

This was the 2nd time around, taking Rosita Cod liver oil. The first time I used the liquid, but this time I thought I’d try the capsules. From now on, I’ll be purchasing the capsules. They’re convenient to take, without the strong aftertaste! I also noticed a difference in my immune health, after a few days of taking them. Thank you Rosita for a quality product.

    Satisfied

Happy with the fish oil, there is no taste of fish and smelt the fish oil once and I could smell the purity of the oil. Looking forward to the results of my next blood test to see if there is a difference.

    The BEST

they come packed like they are really precious! And they are! Upon our research and after studying lots of similar products is the best. We give it to our son recommended by his doctor. His level of vitamin D was never so good (amongst other benefits this product has). Not processed … and exquisite. Taste like fish… because it is not altered by other processes. If you don’t like that maybe consider the capsules. Did not try those as I prefer the raw oil. .
